Oh??? OH??? I was not ready.

Since 2015 I have been an occasional fan fiction reader. I like romance from here to there, but it has to be: Angsty, Enemies to Lovers, a Love Triangle, or Rags to Riches. When I picked up ACOTAR for the inaugural literacy for all book club book I was expecting a fantasy version of dune, or even the hunger games.

This was not that. I quite literally put the book down for chapters 1-3, and when I picked it back up I finished it in 2 days. I have the box set in my cart. I plan on finishing these books before the new year- on top of my initial list.

I wouldn’t say you HAVE TO READ THIS. But it checks all my boxes I mentioned above and was a great follow up to a fanfiction of the same vibe: These Violent Delights that I read on Wattpad.

I ended the book with many thoughts, mostly in concern for our main character: Feyre. Things are not always what they seem ad I worry this may be the case for her. Reading ACOTAR (and hopefully the rest of this series) has reignited my interest in reading Lord of the Rings, The Twilight Saga, and the Witcher series.
